  The PBN Audio Montana EPX is, in a way, the bigger expression of an SP3 loudspeaker: while retaining the beautiful detail and transparent sonic reproduction, the driver complement has been significantly upgraded for a truly blasting new experience with your audio media in stereo or surround, as well as an acoustic response that can effortlessly rival the one provided by the biggest names in the industry.
  
  
  
  Heavily braced and damped on the interior, the PBN Montana EPX has a super-strong cabinet made from thick MDF and residing on a sturdy baseplate with adjustable spiked feet for enhanced stability and rigidity of the whole structure. The bass reflex port is slotted and front-firing for easy and convenient placement of the speaker near walls without any LF modifications.
  
  
  
  The PBN Montana EPX runs on a 3-way 7-driver complement, offering a massive soundstage and a detailed response with music and movies alike, in stereo or surround applications. The PBN Audio Montana EPX LF section is reproduced by quadruple 10-inch woofers loaded in an isobaric chamber tuned at a rumbling 22Hz and providing massive SPL for a truly blasting experience without any bulky subwoofers.
  
  
  
  Besides two of these large woofers, the thick front baffle also houses a d'Appolito array reproducing the mids and highs. The twin midrange drivers are running on 5.25-inch cones and will deliver a naturally-bright response with contoured detail and exceptional, open vocal reproduction. Between these two, the Custom Montana/ ScanSpeak Revelator tweeter has found a natural placement, completing the acoustic imaging with its brittle and crystal-clear 22kHz response, dramatically enhancing the sound field and allowing the listener to enjoy accurate details with musical finesse.
  
  
  
  The PBN Audio Montana EPX can handle 400W RMS and works with 91dB efficiency in 4 Ohms. A pair sells for under $10,000.
