My Dear Chinese Friends,
There is an old saying goes in China, “One who wishes to be good at his work should sharpen his tools first.” In 1985, the great violin educator Lady Delay resorted to us for offering a top-ranking violin to her student Midori. Fulfilling her requirement, we realize at the same time there are many other promising violinists can’t fully exert their technique, because they lack of excellent instruments, although they possess preeminent talents and continuously bury themselves into industrious practices heart and soul. We suppose it is not the tragedy of these excellent violists, but the tragedy of music fans all over the world. Under this circumstance, The Stradivari Society was founded and has provided chances for many contemporary young violinists to perfectly show their technique, including several well-known Chinese violinists---Siqing Lu, Xi Chen, Chuanyun Li, Bin Huang, Yunzhi Liu, Yijia Hou…who are not only the pride of the Chinese, but the pride of us!
I’m very happy to bring The Miracle Makers to the world of the Chinese through cooperating with ABC (Int’l) Record and present the records made by the most advanced high-tech to the Chinese music fans. In this book and records, we enjoy the incomparable and characteristic fine sound from these precious violins, and also witness the historic communication of Chinese and American culture. We acknowledge ABC (Int’l) Record made great efforts to publish the Chinese version. Their perseverance and keeping improving attitude in working is not shown in this book and two records, but in our cooperation.
Thank you, my dear Chinese friends, I’m grateful to have the chance of enjoying the great wisdom of humankind with you and hope to see more and more Chinese violists in the stage of world music, to whom we will provide the topping instruments. Let’s continue the glory of classic music together!

亲爱的华人朋友，
中国有句古话——工欲善其事，必先利其器。1985年，伟大的小提琴教育家迪蕾女士向我们求助，希望能为她的学生美岛莉提供一把一流的乐器。我们满足了她的要求，同时也意识到，还有更多有潜力的当代小提琴演奏家，由于同样没有优良的乐器因而无法充分发挥他们的实力，尽管他们都具备卓越的才华而且长期全身心地投入刻苦练习。我们认为这不但是这些优秀演奏家的遗憾，更是全球爱乐者的遗憾，于是史特拉底瓦里协会诞生了。二十年来，我们为无数当代最优秀的年轻演奏家们提供了完美展示其琴艺的机会，这其中当然包括数位众所周知的华人小提琴家——吕思清、陈曦、李传韵、黄滨、刘云志、侯宜佳……这一个个响亮的名字，不但是华人的骄傲，也是我们的骄傲！
我很高兴的看到，通过与来自中国的ABC（国际）唱片的紧密合作，能将《奇迹的制造者》引入华人世界，并将运用当今最前沿的高科技制造的唱片呈现在华人乐迷面前。通过本书和与之配套的唱片影碟，我们不但能分享这些珍品乐器无与伦比和各具特性的美妙声音，更能共同亲身见证这一美中文化交流史上的盛事！感谢ABC（国际）唱片为本书中文版的出版付出的巨大努力，这些努力不但体现在本书和之前发行的两张精选唱片中，更体现在我们双方合作的过程中——孜孜不倦、精益求精。
